Lead Instructor
Michael Francischelli
AHA Healthcare Provider since 2003. Triple-body certified instructor through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and Medic First Aid. 14+ consecutive years of responding to emergency calls for help before the classroom.
Who teaches your class
A career on the calls, not just in the classroom.
Michael cared for over 1,000 patients as a licensed EMT for 12 years (starting in high school), primarily serving local volunteer fire departments through 911 and emergency calls while simultaneously providing interfacility transports with private EMS. The majority of those calls happened while he was also earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Health Services — Management.
Michael also served as a volunteer firefighter and rescue technician, and today actively serves the community as a health and safety professional protecting lives in workplaces while educating leaders in health and safety to protect entire teams. He is available for workplace consultations and safety training beyond First Aid and CPR / AED.
He has been an American Heart Association Certified Healthcare Provider since 2003 and is a certified CPR / First Aid / AED instructor through three issuing bodies: the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, and Medic First Aid. Whatever card your job actually requires, he can teach the course that issues it.
That real-world perspective shows up in the small things he teaches: how to call out instructions so the room doesn't freeze, how to position your body so you can compress for ten minutes without quitting, how to coach a panicked family member into doing rescue breaths when you can't. The kind of detail that only comes from having been there.
Today, Michael also serves as a Safety Manager on major Tampa Bay industrial projects, applying the same emergency-response training to protect crews across active jobsites. He personally teaches most 2nd Breath classes; when a class fills past capacity, his roster of AHA-certified instructors (career firefighters, EMTs, and 911 first responders) staffs alongside him. A career responder leads every room.
